Sulaima Samman
Principal Educational and Developmental Psychologist
Sulaima is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. She has held numerous positions in government, community, education and clinical settings. She is exceptionally skilled in identifying and treating intellectual and academic difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, ADHD and other behavioural problems, poor self-esteem, and other childhood difficulties.
Sulaima speaks Arabic and has worked with CALD communities for the entirety of her career. She is passionate about working with children and young people and is constantly updating her knowledge and skills and ensures that she provides the most appropriate and effective service.
Sulaima is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and registered with AHPRA. She has a Bachelor degree in psychology and a Masters degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She is a Fellow of the APS College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists.
Sulaima is an accredited supervisor, assisting provisional psychologists through their pathway to becoming fully registered psychologists. She also offers mentoring and professional supervision to early career psychologists and school counsellors.
Sulaima is committed to ensuring that Flying High Child Psychology is a warm and inviting space for kids and teens to attend with their families and receive a high quality and professional service.

Mona Taleb
Senior Psychologist
Mona is a registered psychologist with AHPRA. She has completed a Bachelor of Psychology and a Post graduate Certificate in Psychology Practice with over 10 years' experience working with children, adolescents and families.
She has a special interest in working with children who experience anxiety, poor self esteem, depression and a range of behavioural and emotional challenges. Mona is trained in Eye Movement Densensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and can support children and young people who have experienced trauma.
Mona has a passion for working with parents and providing them with support and the tools with which to connect with their child.
She is a fun, friendly psychologist who can relate well to younger kids. She has over 5 years of experience working as a school psychologist, being a guide and mentor and over 5 years of experience working in a private clinic setting.
Mona is a bilingual therapist who has experience working with English and Arabic speaking families.

Saima Ali
Psychologist
Saima has completed a Bachelor of Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Saima is trained in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Saima has experience working with a diverse range of clients of all cultural groups and ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. She also has worked with children with disabilities, including intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Saima has a keen interest in working with children/ people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, ADHD, behavioural problems, childhood difficulties, phobias, low self-esteem, and anger issues.
She has worked in a range of settings, including schools, non-government organisations, charities, and private practice. She has experience working face to face, on video and telephone.
Saima enjoys spending time with family and friends and finds gardening very therapeutic.
Saima is currently on maternity leave.

Fatma-Nur Atan
Clinical Psychology Registrar
Fatma-Nur Atan is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who has completed a Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Psychology. Fatma has gained experience working with children and young people through Headspace and other reputable mental health institutes.
Fatma is passionate about educating the community about mental health and advocating for the community. Fatma works with children and young people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD and more. Fatma is also fluent in Turkish.

Tanya Cosgrave
Senior Psychologist
Tanya Cosgrave is a registered psychologist with over 19 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She has a Master of Educational Developmental Psychology and is fully registered with AHPRA.
Tanya has extensive experience working within the education system, from pre school to year 12, advocating for children, young people and their families to ensure the needs of each child/young person are being met, with the right service, at the right time.
Tanya has an interest in psychometric assessment, including cognition, academic skills, as well as conducting developmental, behavioural and neurodevelopmental assessments.
She is trained in the ADOS, ADI-R and the MIGDAS. She has almost 2 decades experience in interpretation and reporting of assessment results and guiding families (and the child/ young person) in understanding the outcome of the assessments and what they mean for the child/ young person and their family.
Tanya enjoys working therapeutically with children/young people and their families. Her approaches include CBT, ACT, solution focused/strengths based, some play based therapy.
When she's not at work, Tanya enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her German Shepherd puppy.
Hajra Begic
Provisional Psychologist
Hajra is a Provisional Psychologist who has attained her Bachelor of Psychology degree from Curtin University. She is on the path to becoming a fully registered psychologist and is a highly valued team member at Flying High.
Hajra is friendly, caring, fun, enthusiastic and loves working with children of all ages. She is driven to make a positive impact in everyone’s lives whilst reaching realistic individual goals. She has a passion for working alongside individuals and constantly enhancing her skills- ensuring she provides the most effective and up-to-date service. Hajra provides assessments and therapy and can work with children, adolescents and families on the NDIS and privately.
Hajra is also bilingual speaking Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian.

Emily Eldan
Senior Psychologist
Emily is a psychologist with over 15 years of professional experience in both public and private clinical settings. She provides psychological treatment to a range of clientele from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Emily’s areas of interest include anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, adjustment issues, and interpersonal and relationship difficulties. She specialises in a range of therapies, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and mindfulness.
Her therapeutic style is warm, caring, and approachable. She strives to create a safe and nonjudgmental space, taking the time to personally get to know each client and their unique needs and goals. This approach also ensures that all her clients feel welcome, understood, and supported throughout their personal therapeutic journey.
Emily is available for both face to face and telehealth appointments.

Joanne Raheb
Provisional Psychologist
Joanne is a Provisional Psychologist with 10 years of prior experience as a Special Needs teacher, Learning Enrichment Coordinator and Diverse Learning Educational Consultant to schools, across Kinder to Year 12. She has a deep understanding of the complexities and possibilities for children with diverse learning and support needs, and a passion for supporting children and families impacted by a wide range of neurodevelopmental challenges, mood disorders, learning difficulties, and wellbeing issues.
Joanne has degree level qualifications and extensive training across the disciplines of Psychological Sciences, Mental Health & Counselling. English, Visual Arts, Inclusive Education, and Law. Prior to 2010, she worked as a Lawyer in Family Law Legal Aid matters, where she developed a greater awareness of the mental health needs of children and teenagers, and of the impact of trauma in families. Joanne was awarded Golden Key International Honour Society membership for outstanding academic achievement at Macquarie University in 2007. She has been a member of the Professional Teacher Council (PTC) in Sydney and has served PALS, one of its teacher associations, since 2016, firstly as committee member, then as President from 2018 to 2021, and as Vice-President from 2022 onwards.
Over the course of her career, Joanne has held many other posts, including: Literacy Assessment Fellow at UNSW Global (EAA), Vice-President Education for Toastmasters International from 2012 - 2014, and National English Curriculum Lead at the Australian Curriculum Authority (ACARA) in 2015. Joanne has also been a long time IELTS English examiner at Macquarie University's ELC, and places a high value on cultural and linguistic diversity in our society.
Joanne has delivered group therapy programs on: social skills training, wellbeing and mindfulness, and parenting courses on anxiety management, and teacher education courses on challenges and adjustment needs for children with ADHD and Dyslexia. She has published educational resources, and served on multiple advisory review panels for the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), where she has been able to contribute to the operationalising of disability standards in the school education sector.
Joanne is dedicated to improving child and family outcomes in private practice psychology where she continues to provide individual assessment and therapy, and general psychological services for children and adults across the lifespan.
Faryal Iqbal
Provisional Psychologist
Faryal is a provisional psychologist with a passion for working with children and families. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Psychology Honours degree from the University of Sydney and is currently pursuing a Master of Clinical Psychology.
Faryal has valuable experience in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to young people with various concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and sleep difficulties. In her role, Faryal strives to create a validating and warm space for her clients. Her compassionate nature is reflected in her commitment to helping the community, particularly individuals from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Faryal’s goal is to use a collaborative approach to empower families, ensuring they feel supported on the therapeutic journey.
In her free time, Faryal enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching countless food videos, and going on the occasional nature walk.

Yusra Farooq
Speech Pathologist
Yusra is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) registered with Speech Pathology Australia. She holds a degree in Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) from The University of Sydney.
She works with children who have a wide range of communication disorders, such as articulation and phonological disorders, language delays and disorders, fluency disorders, and social communication disorders.
Yusra's approach to therapy is highly individualised and child-centered. She believes in creating a fun and engaging environment that helps children feel comfortable and motivated to communicate. Yusra uses a variety of evidence-based techniques and tools, such as play-based therapy, visual aids, and technology, to help children improve their communication skills.
In addition to working directly with children, Yusra also works closely with parents and caregivers to provide education and support. She believes that involving parents and caregivers in the therapy process is essential for long-term success and encourages them to participate in therapy sessions and practice communication strategies at home.
Yusra is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and loves seeing the progress they make through therapy. She feels privileged to be a part of their journey and is committed to providing the highest quality of care to every child she works with.

Sidra Al-Rawi
Speech Therapy Assistant
Sidra is currently in her last year of studying for a Master of Speech Pathology at the University of Technology Sydney. She holds an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Speech and Hearing from Macquarie University. Sidra driven by a passion for helping children find their voices and achieve their full potential.
Her journey into this field is fuelled by a deep interest in child development, communication, literacy and school-age children. Sidra has gained hands-on experience working with children in various settings, including schools and clinics, under the supervision of licensed speech pathologists. She is particularly fascinated with the integration of literacy strategies into speech therapy.
Sidra actively engage in advocacy efforts to promote better access to speech therapy services and resources and is involved in student organizations that highlight the significance of speech pathology. Her future goal is to become a licensed speech pathologist specializing in paediatric care and literacy development, continuing her advocacy work to ensure that every child has access to the speech and language support they need to thrive.
Fabeha Noor
Counsellor
Fabeha is a Counsellor and a Provisional Member with PACFA. She holds a Master's degree of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Fabeha has practical experience working with teens and adults, and has experience in providing counselling for anxiety, depression, self-confidence issues, negative thinking and trauma. She works with people from all cultural backgrounds and considers cultural influences in her therapeutic work.
Fabeha is a friendly and easy-going counsellor who connects with both teens and adults smoothly and prioritises clients' comfort over anything else. She approaches her clients with understanding and compassion. Fabeha loves uplifting others and encourages positivity in clients whilst embracing their challenges. She is always ready to lend a listening ear and dedicates herself to each of her clients.
Fabeha's warmth and connection comes through in both face-to-face and online video sessions, so clients can get the benefit of her counselling in either mode of therapy.
Fabeha speaks Urdu, making her an excellent option for clients who feel more comfortable in speaking their mother-tongue.

She is passionate about improving the client experience and supporting staff to perform at their very best. Samar is an experienced Orthoptist who values the importance of providing professional health services.
